Rewind 18 years. Alarmed at the number of nasty chemicals used in everyday household products, Melanie and Malcom Rands decide to do something about it. They get to work sourcing healthier products, with no toxic or unnecessary chemicals, and a commitment that their products would work just as well as mainstream brands. Talk about ambitious! So from their basement, ecostore was born. Fast forward back to today, and ecostore has become an international success story! Their products are distributed in supermarkets and health stores throughout New Zealand and Australia, are exported to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Korea and sold in the US. Not too shabby for a business started from a home basement! We at BaoBag LOVE LOVE LOVE everything ecostore, so we are delighted that today's interview is with the one and only Mel Rands, co-founder and owner of ecostore.
