Our baby actually had a gunky eye 2 weeks ago. I was instructed just to keep wiping it out at that time would fix it. Time did fix it. It was nice to have a product to wipe the eyes out because overnight the gunkiness would dry and it was uncomfortable to baby to try and do it with our fingernails
